Ingredients:
2 medium-sized raw green mangoes
1/2 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
A pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
10-12 fresh mint leaves
2 cups water (for boiling)
Ice cubes
Fresh mint sprigs and lemon slices for garnishing
2 cups chilled water or club soda for serving
Instructions:
Boil Mangoes: Wash the green mangoes thoroughly. In a pot, add the mangoes and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the mangoes become soft and pulpy.
Cool and Extract Pulp: Allow the boiled mangoes to cool. Then, peel them and extract the pulp using a spoon.
Make the Base: In a blender, add the mango pulp, sugar, roasted cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, ground black pepper, and mint leaves. Blend to a smooth paste.
Strain the Mixture: Use a sieve to strain the mixture into a large bowl. This will help in getting a smooth consistency.
Dilute and Chill: Add 2 cups of chilled water or club soda to the mango mixture. Stir well. Refrigerate it for at a least an hour.
Serve: Serve the Aam Panna chilled. Add ice cubes to glasses, pour the drink, and garnish with fresh mint sprigs and a slice of lemon.
