Ingredients:
Pineapple: 1 ripe pineapple (about 3 to 4 pounds), peeled and cored.
Water: 1 to 2 cups, depending on the desired thickness and concentration of the juice.
Sugar (optional): 1 to 2 tablespoons, depending on your taste and the sweetness of the pineapple.
Lemon or Lime Juice (optional): 1 to 2 tablespoons, for added flavor and a touch of acidity.
Instructions:
Prepare the Pineapple: Peel the pineapple, remove the core, and cut it into chunks.
Blend: Place the pineapple chunks into a blender. Add 1 cup of water to start. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add more water as needed.
Strain the Juice: Pour the blended pineapple through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher. Press down to extract as much juice as possible. You can also use a nut milk bag or a juice extractor if you have one.
Sweeten and Flavor (Optional): Taste the juice. If it’s not sweet enough, stir in some sugar while it’s still slightly warm. If desired, add a bit of lemon or lime juice for extra tang.
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the juice until cold. Serve over ice or as is.
