Ingredients:
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup plain yogurt (preferably full-fat for creaminess)
1/2 cup cold water or milk (adjust based on your desired thickness)
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest (optional, for added zing)
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional, for a hint of spice)
Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled drink)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Strawberries:
Place the strawberries in a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Combine Ingredients:
Add the plain yogurt to the blender with the strawberry puree. Blend again until well combined.
Pour in the cold water or milk to achieve your desired consistency. If you prefer a thicker lassi, use less liquid; for a thinner drink, add more.
Sweeten and Flavor:
Add honey or maple syrup to the mixture. Blend briefly to incorporate.
If using, add the freshly grated lemon zest and ground cardamom. Blend once more until evenly mixed.
If you like your lassi extra cold, add a few ice cubes to the blender and pulse until the ice is crushed and the lassi is chilled.
Serve:
Pour the strawberry lassi into glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
